Built by my family in 1965 as a summer fishing cabin, many record-setting muskies were caught and released by my grandpa and dad while staying here. Facing Goose Island (a renowned fishing locale) on the big part of Leech Lake, you have unparalleled views and access. There are two bedrooms, each containing a new queen mattress. There is also an inflatable queen mattress that would be ideal in the living room area. The living room and kitchen/dining room have an open plan with high timber ceilings. Bring your boat! There is a dock and shore station for a small boat (18'fiberglass/20' aluminum maximum) to which you have access, complete with a foldable filet station on the front porch. Additional amenities include: canoe, washing machine and dryer, Wifi, DVD player and DVD library, full kitchen and bath, a lakefront fire pit, picture windows, and an outdoor sitting porch. Responsible pet owners with their furry friends are welcome. Take a step back in time! Boat launch and gorgeous swimming beach is just east and within walking distance from the cabin. You may also call Huddles Resort or Trappers Landing to see if there is a rental harbor space available for your stay. 2 bedrooms on main floor along with pullout couch and loft offer cozy sleeping spaces. We do not recommend overnight docking on the private dock area as there are not lifts available. Weather and wind can be unpredictable. Upper loft area is not recommended for young children or elderly adults as the ladder to access is fairly steep.

We are located on the west side of Trader's Bay on Pine Point of Leech Lake which juts out into the lake make our location central on the lake excellent for fishing. Some of the advantages of our location are; close to the hot fishing spots so you don't have to burn a lot of boat fuel, in addition we are not in a stagnant 'green water' bay area because the lake water is always circulating which makes for a great swimming beach. For a day on the lake you can boat to the 501 restaurant in Walker and dine on the open air deck with expansive views of Leech Lake. You can also take a walk to our local craft brewing company. Our lake home is an open-living concept home that was completely remodeled in 2007 with quality in mind. The open concept area features beautiful cathedral ceilings, a massive real stone fireplace, a large dining area with an 8 foot log table , and a fully stocked gourmet kitchen with granite counter tops. The living room area seats a large group comfortably with a sectional, oversized chair, and a log futon sofa. This area can be used for additional sleeping space, if needed. There is a large flat-screen tv in this room also. The rest of the house contains the four bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a laundry room, and a second living room. Up a short carpeted flight of stairs are three bedrooms. They all have Wildlife themes and hand-crafted log furniture.. Two bedrooms have French doors that open up to a large lakeside screen porch. The third bedroom looks out over the heavily wooded backyard. The three upstairs bedrooms share a bathroom that has a large vanity with two sinks and many drawers and cupboards to stash your toiletries. It also has a deep, jetted tub/shower. The downstairs bedroom has a large, 3/4 bath across the hall. The laundry room is fully equipped with a new HE washer/dryer, utility sink, and all the supplies you will need for your stay. The downstairs family room has two sofas, with one being a double hide-a-bed, providing additional sleeping spaces, if needed. This room has a flat screen television, gaming station , a children's play area, and a work station with an all-in-one printer. (Yes, some people have to work even when they are on vacation!) This room has a no-step exit out to the lakefront. We have patios on both sides of the house and ample furniture to accommodate large groups. We provide a gas grill with propane for your use also. And, down by the lake, we have a fire pit for the daytime hot dog roast or the evening campfires. We also have a Boathouse that has been converted to a rec room. It has a ping pong table, foosball table, music system, sandbox toys for the little ones, and lawn games. The boathouse is a great place for the guests who like to burn off a little energy or just want some separate space. Our property has a 60 foot long dock and a 3000 pound capacity boat lift with electric assist to make getting out on the lake a breeze. The dock has electricity available for charging boat batteries. The swimming area is accessed from the dock, because the shoreline is rocky. The water level where the sand bottom begins is about a foot and a half. At the end of the dock, it is 4 feet deep. We have put in a small beach area in front of the boat house for little ones to have fun in the sand. We have a canoe, paddle boat, and two 10 foot kayaks available for guest use. The kayaks are stored in the boat house along with a number of life jackets. (Infant, children, and adult sizes) On the west side of the property, we have a screened, lighted fish-cleaning building with a large stainless steel table to make fish cleaning convenient and bug-free. There are outlets for electric filet knives and a garden hose attachment for easy clean up. A bundle of wood for campfires will be found in here. There are also two bikes for use by our guests. Also, our long circular driveway gives the property lots of space for parking cars and boat trailers. Our property is quite spacious so everyone can have privacy to getaway and relax.

This large home has been updated, professionally decorated and is a pleasant getaway available year round. The great stretch of sand is located directly in front of the home and the near level elevation allows for gentle swimming in every direction. The lake is clean and clear and this particular parcel of land and swimming area allows for yards and yards of sandy, weed free swimming well beyond the dock. The swim raft is a really fun plus for the summer months. The home features 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths and 1 half bath. It is kept meticulously clean by the owners who are smoke free. The large great room is perfect for curling up in by the fireplace and watching movies on rainy days, the sun room offers a cheerful vibe also facing the lake. The well equipped kitchen is open to all and is a great place to have conversation. There are two master bedroom spaces each with their own bathrooms. This area of the lake is very secluded and private. The home is on a "dead end" road and has very little traffic coming and going. Other special features are the luxurious mattresses provided along with all brand new furnishings and decor. Additionally, the garage has a great stainless steel fish cleaning station. Responsible renters are welcome to use our kayak, paddle board, water bike, paddle boat and outdoor grill. There is also a ping pong table and cornhole (bean bag) game to use The following is provided to renters: most necessary kitchen utensils/dinnerware/cookware, toaster, coffee maker, crockpot, bed linens, bath linens, firewood, gas grill, paddleboard and paddle boat. Docks are generally pulled onto lake side lawn and off the lake in October. Exact timing depends on weather. Additionally, the docks are put back in sometime in May depending on when the ice is off the lake. We have no control over the timeframe on that. **5 day minimum stay required during June, July and August (peak season). ***We pride ourselves on PERFECT accommodations for renters; however, Leech Lake typically has a Mayfly hatch for approximately 10 days mid to late June. This does somewhat effects the water quality and our normally pristine beach and outdoor areas. Anyone renting during this timeframe acknowledges this disclaimer.

This Leech Lake home in Trader's Bay is located on what is considered to be the best stretch of beach on the entire lake. The beach is sandy and the water is clear and weed free. On a dead end road, this property is extremely private for families. It is a completely remodeled home with 3 bedrooms in the main house along with a separate bedroom and bathroom space in the renovated garage living space with 2 twin beds. The detached living quarter space has it's own bathroom, small private patio and sliding door to the lake (this detached space is only available during the spring, summer, fall months as it's otherwise winterized.) The property included a dock and a lift for renters. It's approximately 15 minutes from downtown Walker. The property is professionally decorated and includes extra fun touches such as family board games, outdoor bean bag toss game (cornhole), gas fireplace in main living area, smart TVs, wi-fi, rustic playhouse for kids and a screened in gazebo with gas firepit. Additionally, an outdoor shower makes for convenient lake life! For the ultimate lake life experience, we have another firepit (wood supplied to guests) at the lake's edge with Adirondack chairs for comfort. Boat lift: Uncovered, fits 19-20ft boat length up to 5,000 pounds. Docks and lift are removed sometime every October and every attempt is made to put them back in time for fishing opener. Timing depends on when the ice is off the lake and we are unable to offer a guaranteed date they are in or out because of these factors. ***5 day minimum stay required during June, July and August (peak season). ***Mid October - May the garage living quarters (bedroom/bath) are inoperable as they are winterized. Dock is also taken out during that timeframe. ***We pride ourselves on PERFECT accommodations for renters; however, Leech Lake typically has a Mayfly hatch for approximately 10 days mid to late June. This does somewhat effects the water quality and our normally pristine beach and outdoor areas. Anyone renting during this timeframe acknowledges this disclaimer.

Our Leech Lake Retreat is located on beautiful Moonlight Bay- take in one of the best views for sunsets and the moon from the hot tub located on the back patio. The property has 4 decks and a screened porch overlooking the bay. The sand beach is a great spot to relax or catch perch/sunfish from the dock. The built in fire pit with ample seating and fantastic view is the perfect way to end the day around a campfire. This multi level home is the perfect way to allow for family gatherings or just a week away at the lake! The main floor of our home has the kitchen and living room, both have a sliding glass door out to one of our decks, as well as a bathroom and Wilkening fireplace. Go upstairs to the master suite, containing the master bedroom with a sliding glass door out to the deck overlooking the lake. The full bath has an over sized vanity and two sinks, connected to an office that also has a daybed. Down the first flight of steps from the main level are two more bedrooms, one with a deck off the lakeside of the home, another full bathroom and laundry room with HE Samsung washer and dryer, laundry room contains all the supplies you will need for your stay. The downstairs family room has another flat screen TV, seating area as well as a play area. You won't feel like you are in the basement with two windows as well as another sliding glass door that takes you out to the patio with a hot tub. The two stall garage that is connected to the home through the laundry room is equipped with a full sink and counter area, making it the perfect spot to clean all the fish you catch! The garage also has in floor heat. The driveway to our property is paved, as well is the road to the property (will not travel on any gravel). We find that open windows and lake breezes make for a comfortable night's sleep. *There are 2 pull-out couches on the main floor; however, all private bathrooms and the shower are on the second level and require using the stairs. There is no shower or bathtub on the main level. *The home sits at elevation above the lake, which provides breath-taking views; however, this means there are multiple stairs down to our dock at lake-level. There are 2 landings along the way to break up your trek, and the sandy lake bottom and dock at the bottom are worth it - but something to keep in mind. *The main floor TV is a smart TV; however, the upstairs TV is not. Both TVs are connected to DVD players and there is a wide assortment of DVDs (including children's movies) available; however, we do not provide cable or satellite television.

Home sits on a hill which means less mosquitoes and a great view from the deck and 3 season porch. 250 feet of shoreline means extra privacy.
